God Chasers Daily Devotion-#8

I just want to find out where He’s going so I can position myself at the place where He is going to break open. There is an element of sovereignty in God’s choice of places. Nobody on earth strikes the match for burning bushes. Only God can do that. Our part consists of wandering through the wilderness until we find that spot, and then to remember to take off our shoes because we’ve stumbled onto holy ground.
(The God Chasers, 55)

Reflection by Pastor Kevin

Moses' life was forever changed at Mt. Horeb when he say the burning bush. HIs life would never be the same after that moment. When we continue to seek and desire Him He will reveal himself to us. Our wandering through the wilderness of life will be illuminated by our God if we are submitted to Him and in relationship with Him. He will lead us to Him if we will follow. Our lives will be changed forever as we see HIs face in the burning bush of the revelations He gives us.
As we enter this second week of devotion let us remain in a place of submission to God.  Let us keep developing the habit of spending time with Him and seeking His face. Let him direct us. Let Him guide us. Let Him fix us. Let Him expose to us His truths and His plans.
Like Elijah in the following scripture some of us may have to rebuild or repair our personal altars of life. Some may have to build our altars for the first time. When we establish our altars and continue to place ourselves upon it then we will see God and His fire will fall in our lives.

1Ki 18:30  And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down.

1Ki 18:38  Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.

Let us continue to seek Him, continue to follow Him.  Let us pursue Him and not give up, making the necessary changes as He reveals them to us. God has the match to set us on fire. Lets be the combustible material for God to burn. Let His presence, and fire consume us. (P.K.)

This message is powerful and true.when I live in Pennsylvania I was attending church but not to much the king .but He removed me from there to Florida where I found the mighty King and not the church huge difference in this .but God should me that He needs to remove you where you are comfortable to a place where you need to suffer in order to learn the truth about life and see clearly what God has for me.my alter is my home where I take off my shoe and I know God is waiting and watching me ..is my burning bush .God is so awesome .He took my out from a comfortable place to a suffering place . which now is my place where I found my King and Here I became a Worrier a fighter of Jesus Christ .Amen New in a new place .

...position myself at the place where He is going...

I find Him in many places, but specially where HE called me. I see his face at the Pantry. I see HIS love for us.

I am having to rebuild & repair my alters in my situation in my daily life. At times I feel so much hurt in pain when so much is going on around me. When My flesh is weak I can hear God saying "Be Still" & I ask that I will not act in this sinful flesh but in Wisdom to calm the Roaring Seas. The more time when spending seeking God the more He Reveals in our alters and is asked us to be Willing too Submit Righteously. God Never falls to Amaze Me on "What a Might God We Serve" AMEN
